The Hall Goes to Cannes
Musings April 30th. 2009, 11:16amA group of Ryerson students, including Newfoundlanders Alex Fox and Stephen Dunn, have been having quite the ride with their short film, “The Hall”. It swept the awards in the 48 Hour Film Project Competition 2008, receiving awards for Best Picture, Best Writing, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Leading Male and Female Actors and the Audience Choice Award. Then at the Miami Film Festival’s Filmapalooza, they found out that “The Hall” is going to the Cannes Film Festival. Good on ya! And best of luck at Cannes. Here’s a trailer for the film.
