Daily Flashback April 29th. 2009, 3:46pmIn an effort to get more vigilant about posting here and because maybe, like me, nostalgic things always make you smile, I thought I’d try a daily entry here. You know, a daily entry of a TV show intro, a picture, a song, or a news story you’ll remember. I don’t intend to match the flashback with the date but might do that from time to time. So, here is my first Daily Flashback. If you were a kid in the 70s and early 80s, you’ll recognize this opening scene of The Wonderful World of Disney. I remember so looking forward to this show every week.

Oh my LORD! Just turned six and seven for a moment. Yes, that show was the high point of the week — totally rocked, especially if they ran cartoons. I used to get spitting mad when some stupid football game went overtime and then we had “to join the program already in progress.”
That said, I never, ever want to see “The Apple Dumpling Gang” again. Bring on “Witch Mountain,” though.

Yeah, cartoons were the best on there but I liked most everything on there. I never watched “The Apple Dumpling Gang” though.
